That makes many corvettes far less survivable against small-guns fire. Now they get in range, stop and start firing, just like bigger ships do. They don’t fly around and make strafing runs against their targets. Corvettes in don’t act as their original selves. Commanding large amounts of units doesn’t need to feel like a chore. There are many more examples of how you can make things easier for yourself in this game, while you still can select all targets manually if you so desire.
